White Knight – the technology

White Knight series, a range of hardware based appliances integrate the seven crucial security check points - Firewall, VPN, Intrusion Protection, Anti-Virus, Spam Elimination, Surf Protection and Spyware Guarding.
Firewall
White Knight firewall manages all communications traffic between the Internet and internal networks to block unauthorized access. Administrators can block or allow access, for each protocol, to each internal network, server, service, and user group. The firewall inspects both networking information (packet headers) and application information (payloads) to detect and block suspicious traffic.
VPN
The White Knight VPN uses a variety of advanced encryption methods to protect data, and allows you to use a combination of VPN clients that meet the needs for convenience and security of a number of different users.
Intrusion Detection and Prevention
White Knight performs intrusion detection by scanning inbound network traffic and uses pattern recognition technology to detect over 3,000 types of probes, Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, and attempts to exploit application vulnerabilities. White Knight can also provide intrusion prevention by working with the firewall to immediately block incoming traffic associated with intrusions.
Virus Protection
Viruses, worms, and other "malware" can enter organizations by passing through email servers, or by going directly to users who download emails and files from their browsers. White Knight’s antivirus can protect against both.
• Anti-virus for email - Virus Protection for email scans inbound and outbound email message sand email attachments carried over industry-standard email protocols.
• Anti-virus for the Web - Virus Protection for the Web scans emails, email attachments and downloaded files for users who utilize web email services, and who download files from their browser via industry - standard web protocols.
Spam Protection
White Knight Spam Protection (Spam Filter) scans inbound email messages (SMTP and POP3 protocols). It performs a series of tests and assigns a "spam score" to each message indicating the probability that the message is unsolicited. Messages whose score exceeds thresholds set by the administrator are dropped, returned to the sender, passed to the recipient with a warning, or quarantined.
Surf Protection (URL/Content Filtering)
When enterprises do not want users to browse questionable Internet sites, White Knight Surf Protection provides comprehensive web blocking. With White Knight, administrators can specify the types of web sites that are inappropriate for groups of users in their organizations.
Spyware Protection
White Knight Spyware Protection is designed to detect spyware parasites and quarantine the infected files for immediate protection by blocking web pages and software downloads from websites. The solution not only protects against infection of computers, but also intercepts and blocks spyware communication from already infected computers to spyware web sites on the Internet.
